So Many Dynamos sign with Vagrant

SO MANY DYNAMOS SIGN WITH VAGRANT

The Loud Wars out April 7, 2009 – December Tour With Ra Ra Riot

“With ill-tuned guitars and Midwestern angst, So Many Dynamos craft woozy angular noise punk” – SPIN Magazine

“St. Louis’ So Many Dynamos have their feet firmly planted on the same shaky, unstable ground as Les Savy Fav and Q and Not U. The tracks on their sophomore release, Flashlights, feature upbeat tempos and driving melodies bursting through chaotic arrangements.” – PITCHFORK

(December 2, 2008) – Vagrant is proud to announce that SO MANY DYNAMOS have signed to the label. The St. Louis, MO-area group will release their third full-length, The Loud Wars, on April 7, 2009. The 10-track disc was produced by Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie, The Decemberists) at Tiny Telephone Studios in San Francisco and Alberta Court, his home studio in Portland, OR. The Loud Wars was mixed by both Walla and Alex Newport (Mars Volta, At the Drive-in).

“We’re so excited to be signing with Vagrant,” said Ryan Wasoba. “We feel like we have a lot in common with some of their mid-western “touring machine” bands that meant so much to us when we were growing up. We’re also really proud of The Loud Wars – it wasn’t easy to make and it wasn’t quick, but it really captures who we are as a band.”

So Many Dynamos is: Aaron Stovall– vocals/keyboard, Griffin Kay – guitar/vocals, Ryan Wasoba – guitar/keyboard/vocals, Clayton Kunstel – drums/percussion.

SO MANY DYNAMOS on tour:
Dec 3 – Burlington, VT @ Higher Ground
Dec 4 – Albany, NY @ Valentine’s
Dec 5 – Northampton, MA @ Iron Horse
Dec 6 – Swarthmore, PA @ Olde Club
Dec 10 – Newport, KY @ Southgate House
Dec 11 – Louisville, KY @ 930 Listening Room
Dec 12 – Nashville, TN @ Exit/In
