THE GET UP KIDS REUNITE FOR SURPRISE HOMETOWN SHOW

SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF SOMETHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT TO BE RELEASED IN 2009

(November 17, 2008) – Fans started lining up early yesterday morning outside of The Record Bar in Kansas City, Missouri for a chance to see a surprise hometown show by The Get Up Kids. The group played their last show together in 2005 and last night they performed their 1999 release, Something To Write Home About in its entirety.

“We all had a really good time playing together this weekend and really, that’s the most important part for me,” said vocalist/guitarist Matt Pryor. “We decided to play the Record Bar show as a test to see if we wanted to play together next year for the anniversary of the record. It was supposed to be a secret … that didn’t work out.”

Next year marks the ten-year anniversary of the release of Something To Write Home About (Vagrant) - The Get Up Kids second studio album that launched them into the national spotlight. Vagrant will be reissuing the disc as part of a special package that will include a DVD, photo book, and more in Spring ’09.

The Get Up Kids are Matthew Pryor –vocals/guitar, Jim Suptic – guitar/vocals, Ryan Pope – drums, Robert Pope – bass, and James Dewees – keyboard.

TWO TONGUES DEBUT DUE OUT FEBRUARY 3, 2009 ON VAGRANT

November 6, 2008 – TWO TONGUES, the new band featuring Max Bemis and Coby Linder of Say Anything along with Chris Conley and David Soloway of Saves The Day, announce a February 3, 2009 release for their self-titled debut. The thirteen-track self-produced disc was recorded late last year at Electric Ladybug studios in Northern California.

Max Bemis comments on the genesis of the project:
“Chris has been my favorite songwriter since I was 15. Ten years later he is now is one of my closest friends. The Two Tongues record is really an expression of the yin and yang; how two "opposite" souls stimulate and battle each other in any truly loving relationship. Chris inspired me as a mentor, hero and friend, and I inspired him as someone who truly cherishes his work that he can respect in his own right. Chris sometimes looks down on himself but is inside a very strong, almost Buddha-like centered soul; I have that whole Steven Tyler/Jerry Lewis extrovert personality onstage but I'm a totally neurotic, restless soul inside. We as two people, therefore, express two sides of a coin. Making the record, and it being the first band either of us has ever been in outside of Say Anything or Saves the Day, was sort of like falling in love for the second time; you have to look outside of yourself and learn to communicate with and trust someone who operates in a totally different manner. Ironically, while making this record I met the girl I am now in love with, so I was experiencing the same thing in the form of friendship with Chris as I was in getting to know this female person. So whether you want to look at the record as songs about two people starting a romantic relationship or this dynamic of how inspiration operates between two people, that's your choice. We hope it functions on both levels. Either way, it's a dream come true for me, and a true labor of love.”

Chris Conley says of the collaboration:
“Working with Max was a dream come true for me. I have never met another musician as inspiring and talented. During a dark period in my life, Max's music lifted my heart, and for that I am forever in his debt. When he approached me about doing this side project together, my immediate thought was, "I would do it with no one else." So my heart was in it from the moment of inception. The process of songwriting and recording was exciting and fluid. As it turns out, we work together quite well! I look forward to our next project together so our learning and growing can continue.”

THE DEBUT ALBUM FROM WARSHIP - SUPPLY & DEPEND - OUT TODAY

LATE FALL TOUR ANNOUNCED, LIMITED EDITION POSTER DETAILS

“…one huge, ugly, lumbering ogre of a record that is so satisfyingly heavy, it’s the kind of aural pummeling you’ll want to repeatedly endure.” – Alternative Press, Dec. ‘08

(November 4, 2008) - WARSHIP, the new band featuring Francis Mark (vocals, drums) and Rob Lauritsen (guitar, bass) of From Autumn To Ashes, today release their debut album, Supply & Depend. The New York City-based duo also announces their upcoming tour with Fall of Troy and The Number Twelve Looks Like You (see dates below).

Supply & Depend was produced Andrew Schneider (Made Out Of Babies, Cave In, Pelican, Unsane) and has a sound “somewhat akin to bare-knuckle street brawl between Saint Vitus, Snapcase and High On Fire.”

“I don’t think a lot of people were expecting this. When I said I was starting a new band, people thought I was going to go in a more mellow direction,” says Mark. “It’s definitely a lot more blown-out, and raw, and with more driving rhythms and ugliness than we ever did with FATA.”

The first 200 fans that buy the CD online through the Vagrant /Warship webstore for $10 (http://www.merchlackey.com/vagrant/index.php?page=488) will receive a free limited edition hand-numbered poster designed by Francis Mark (and signed by both Fran and Rob).

The band’s name holds special meaning—a play on the word “worship,” the moniker serves as a reminder of the destructive power of religion, which has often been wielded for less-than-glorious ambitions under the auspices of benevolence.

WARSHIP on tour:
Nov 21 – Plains, PA @ Club Energy (w/ No. 12, The Plague of Ruin, Machine Arms, Ethereal Collapse)
Nov 28 – Salt Lake City, UT @ Avalon Theater
Nov 29 – Grand Junction, CO @ VFW Hall
Nov 30 – Colorado Springs, CO @ The Black Sheep
Dec 1 – Albuquerque, NM @ Launchpad
Dec 2 – Tempe, AZ @ The Clubhouse
